Pilanesberg National Park is set in eroded remains of a 1, 2 billion year old volcanic crater. The Park, which covers some 55 000 hectare, is the fourth largest game reserve in Southern Africa and is situated about 180km northwest of Pretoria. This malaria free park plays host to 360 bird species, the nocturnal brown hyena, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and the much sought after “Big 5”.
We depart 08:00 from Gauteng, after a short stop at Hartbeespoort dam for some curios shopping to arrive Sun City @ approx 11:00. @ leisure till 15:30 when we depart on afternoon game drive.
Depart back to Gauteng @ approx 18:00
