Treehouse Experience
Unique Kruger experience staying in treehouses on the banks of the Klasserie river. game drives in Kruger National Park and on private game reserves, all drives are in open game vehicles. Plus night drives and game walks and wildlife rehabilitation centre.
Daily departures with a choice of 3, 4 or 6 day itinerary. A flexible choice.

Day 1:
Pickup from your guesthouse/hostel or Johannesburg Airport and drive via Pilgrim's Rest to the Blyde River Canyon. Visit the highlights of the Panorama Route including God's Window and the Three Rondawels. Drive to Tremisana Game Lodge for your first experience of game-viewing in the Big Five Balule Game Reserve. From an open Landcruiser , your ranger will use a powerful spotlight to identify nocturnal animals. Drive to Marc's Treehouse Lodge where you will be accommodated in fascinating treehouses.& Dinner will be held in our boma, around a crackling open fire.
Day 2
: Early morning big five bush walk in the Balule Game Reserve accompanied by an armed ranger. After breakfast, we depart for the Orpen Gate of Kruger Park. From your open Gameviewer you are afforded an outstanding opportunity to fully experience Africa's wild animals. The elevated vantage position and absence of glass windows allow for truly unforgettable sight, sound and scent experiences and brilliant photographic opportunities. Breakfast at a picnic spot. Spend the full day gameviewing and birdwatching in the company of a knowledgeable guide. Overnight in your romantic treehouse with the sounds of the African night to lull you to sleep.
Day 3:
After breakfast visit the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, where orphaned and injured animals and birds are cared for . After lunch drive to Balule private Big Five Game Reserve for a late afternoon game drive on an open Landcruiser. After dark, your ranger will use a powerful spotlight to locate nocturnal animals. Return to Marc's Camp for dinner and overnight
Day 4:
Another full day of gameviewing and birdwatching from the open Gameviewer. Your guide will use his intimate knowledge of the Park and travel along different roads in an attempt to show you the Big Five. From your open Gameviewer, your chances of seeing the Big Five are greatly enhanced. Dinner and overnight at Marc's Camp.
Day 5:
Early departure for a 3-4 hour daybreak hike in the Kruger Park. Your armed Kruger Park rangers lead you into the African bush on foot following the spoor of big game. They will interpret spoor, scats and signs left by passing animals. The thrill of walking, tracking and eventually getting close enough to photograph big animals is an unforgettable experience. After your hike return to Marc's Camp for a short siesta. Later in the afternoon, visit the Endangered Wildlife Project at Kapama, where a guided tour gets you close to cheetah, wild dogs and other endangered species.
Day 6:
In the early morning, your armed ranger will attempt to approach, on foot, the resident buffalo herd that has made Marc's Camp its home. After breakfast, we return to Gauteng, arriving by 16h00. Airport dropoff by arrangement.

Treehouse Accommodation
Blessed with a romantic aura of
unspoiled Africa, Marc’s Treehouse
Lodge is a game-rich bushveld
paradise. Twelve rustic reed-and-
thatch treehouses, each with
individual facilities, accommodate a
maximum of 32 guests. Three of the
treehouses are built around an
illuminated waterhole, often frequented
by our resident buffalo herd, while nine
treehouses are discreetly situated in gallery forest along the river.

There are 3 treehouses each with
double beds; 4 with twin single beds;
2 with three single beds and 3 with
four single beds. The camp is
designed to allow our guests a truly
African experience. There is a
swimming pool, outside bar and three
Boma venues for dining.
